Albert Bierstadt (January 8,1930 - February 18, 1902) was celebrated for his great landscapes of Western America. In capturing the subject matter for his works, the German-American painter accompanied three journeys of the Westward Expansion. Although Bierstadt was not the originator of documenting these beautiful sites, he was however the supreme painter of this scenery for the rest of the 19th century.
